About Daughterhood by Design

Our Mission Statement

We want to encourage girls to:

• Develop loving, submissive relationships with their Heavenly and earthly fathers;
• Recognize that their family is a ministry team, headed by their father and led by God;
• Fill the place in their homes that God has designed them for;
• Develop femininity and modesty;
• Develop homemaking skills;
• Turn their hearts to their families in preparation for the soon coming of our Lord;
• Return to Biblical principles of womanhood, regardless of cultural expectations.

Who We Are

Daughterhood by Design was started by the Brinley family in 2008. We are a Christian family living in New Mexico. We love the Lord and look forward to His soon return.

In the book of John, Christ gives this precious promise:


Then in Revelation 2:20, He adds, "Surely I come quickly."

We believe that Jesus will be coming very soon to take His faithful people home. But first, there is a work that must be done in our hearts and lives. "Behold," says the Lord, "I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children and the heart of the children to their fathers..." (Malachi 4:6). Luke 1:7 explains that this change of heart is necessary "to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."

In light of this, it has been our desire to discover, from the Bible, how God wants His people to live. With so many girls in our family, much of our study has, of course, focused on Biblical principles for girlhood and womanhood. Daughterhood by Design has grown out of a desire to share the principles we are discovering with other young ladies.
